First Post

Bismillah al-rahman al-rahim

I begin in the name of Allah, anything good and right that I say is from Allah alone. Anything bad or wrong that I say is from me alone. I seek refuge in Allah from any mistakes that I may make and I seek his forgiveness.

Just wanted to do a quick first post. I named my blog Path to Submission because I am a Muslim who reverted to Islam a little over a year ago. Being a Muslim means that I am one who submits to the will of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) and doing this puts us on the straight path that leads to paradise. Right now as I struggle to do the things that Allah expects of me, with mixed results at times, I feel like I am more on the path to the path of true submission to Allah. InshaAllah I will get there with the guidance and mercy of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).

InshaAllah, in my blog I will talk about the challenges, successes, failures I experience, things I learn and things I wonder about and probably just some completely random thoughts.

I guess that's it for now.
